As highlighted in my previous post (see here), suede and particularly suede leather jacket is one of my top items for this fall. Therefore, with today’s post I want to show you one of the options, how you can implement it into your fall wardrobe. My today’s outfit is for those moody, cloudy, already a bit chilly autumn days, where you want not to think too much what to wear, have something more relaxed but still look clean and well put together.
Key element of this outfit is simplicity. And I am a big fan of it. I am deeply convinced that you do not need much to look good, you just need well-fitted, simple items, which complement each other. The same applies to this outfit. It combines a simple round neck sweater with high-waisted pants and the suede leather jacket. What I like and would like to highlight about this outfit are three things: 1. The suede jacket itself , 2. Color combination, 3. A bit different type of pants.
As for the first, I cannot stress enough, but the suede jacket, in my opinion, is such a versatile, timeless garment and adds that specific note of sophistication and elegance to the whole outfit. Definitely the centerpiece of the whole look. When choosing the suede jacket I would opt for the classic and simple look (this will ensure versatility) as well as good quality of the suede. Better to invest into the good garment then having something that won’t feel and look right. Believe me you can see the difference between good and bad quality.
Then regarding colors. The outfit is coordinated in earth tones, which are great colors for fall, by the way. Specifically you have a combination between olive green pants and brown suede leather jacket and a light, easy of the eye pop of beige from the sweater. Those might not be the colors to be noticed on the street, but those create very settled, pleasant and I would say elegant composition.
I am also convinced that if you want to ensure that your look is unique, those small details on your clothing is one of the most important aspects. That is leading to my last highlight, which are the pants. Here I opted for high-waisted and double pleaded ones, which is not something regular you see currently on the streets. Today, we are rather used for non-pleaded, low or medium rise versions. The fact that those are high-waisted with deep double pleads, makes them more unique and those details make the look much more interesting. This particular model is from luxire.com, the company I have known for some time, but just recently decided to order a pair of pants. Those are their trial pants, which is a great option they offer in order to get the fitting right. But here I will make another post on my experience and the process behind the selection and ordering.
Last but not least, if you put the suede jacket, it makes also sense to compose it together with suede footwear. As in my example, I chose my favorite brown tassel loafers
