Ciao ragazzi,

Having some days off, I decided to travel to the Northern part of Italy – Südtirol. It is only 3 hours drive from Munich and is the perfect location for a short vacation.

Being there, I was in a mood to wear something typical Italian. Thinking about typical Italian style I think about the outfit, which is stylish, yet seems as if no much effort was put into it, thus giving the relaxed feeling and look to it. There is even specific word, which Italians use for it – sprezzatura.

To achieve this result, in my opinion, you have to aim for simple items in your wardrobe and put focus on the fit, fabrics and colors. Specifically the fit should be well tailored, yet more relaxed. For fabrics, I would aim for lighter ones, like cotton or linen. As for colors, I would use a lot of lighter or neutral colors. Also don’t forget about accessories.

For this look, I chose to wear the navy unstructured cotton blazer, which due to its soft shoulders and no linings has more relaxed look to it. I combined it with white trousers and white shirt. For trousers, I wear them a bit shorter – with no break. It means, they end exactly where the shoes start or a tick higher. I added also this light grey cardigan to have a bit more refined silhouette. I also think that it is a nice transition from white at the bottom to navy blue on the top. For this look, I chose to wear simple brown loafers.

Finishing with some accessories. I wear a cotton/wool tie as well as some more casual shades.

This outfitis simple, yet can be worn for many occasions. I hope you enjoy it!

Truthfully yours,

Vlad
