In the last couple of days, we had an amazing weather with lots of sunshine and almost summer like temperatures. Ideal to start wearing lighter fabrics as in my todayβs post outfit.
Linen, lighter cotton and even lighter wool are the perfect fabrics for this kind of weather. It is not as easy as it seems to find the proper fabrics, especially for the ones made out of cotton or wool. Even though there are many characteristics to aim for (while looking for the proper summer clothing), I try to stick to one simple rule. I am looking for items, which have so called open weave construction. It means, when held to the light, you can see small gaps in the fabric and literally can see through the fabric. With those gaps, it allows the material to circulate air, thus ensuring the proper ventilation for those warmer days.
For my outfit, I chose to wear linen/cotton blend trousers in combination with long sleeve polo shirt, made out of light wool. The pants are high-rise and pleaded (which is more classical), but at the same time with more modern fit. I like those a lot π . As for colors, I love light colored trousers, so you will see me wearing more or those in the weeks to come. I combined the pants with dark navy polo shirt to create some contrast. Polo was my choice, as polo makes the look a bit more relaxed but still elegant.
I also took the jacket with me, as the nights are still a bit chilly in April. I chose the dark navy leather jacket, which compliments the color of the polo and again is a nice contrast to the pants. The jacket also adds some modern twist to the rest of the look. Finishing with dark brown tassel loafers.
With lighter fabrics I was very comfortable with this outfit and was enjoying the weather to itβs full extend without having to compromise on my look π
Hope you enjoy it as well. Please, let me know.
Truthfully yours,
Vlad
