Guys, you most probably heard already thousands of times that the navy suit is the one of the most universal clothing items out there. And you also heard, that when acquiring your first suit you should buy a navy one. And this is completely true 🙂 There are so many information on the web to this topic that it would be too boring to emphasize and write about it one more time. Instead, I rather show how I add a little bit of twist to it and use the most out of it’s versatility.
The navy suit is also a great item to be worn during the spring / summer season. And it not necessarily has to be for the office environment. I personally like to wear suit and tie, and don’t mind to wear it during my free time. To make the outfit a little bit more interesting and not too business like I tend to play with details.
An interesting tie, pocket square or shoes can elevate and add totally different feel to the outfit. For example, this tie I chose is a playful linen tie with floral prints. As for shoes, I went with more casual light brown loafers and also went sockless. The combination of the tie and shoes gave very summery and light feel to the outfit, in my opinion, matching to the spring / summer weather outside.
Another point, which should be mentioned is that for spring / summer season the navy suit has to be made of light materials, specifically light cotton, linen or light breathable wool.
So do buy a navy suit if you don’t own one and you can literally use it for every occasion, not only for business. Also spring / summer season is a great time to wear it as well, when combined properly.

Truthfully yours
Vlad
